History

Hope Channel Kenya is a premier television station that is owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kenya (East and West Kenya Union Conferences).
Located at East Kenya Union Conference Headquarters, in Nairobi, Hope Channel Kenya (HCK) has been in operation since November 2013.

HCK started to broadcast in Nairobi and its environs but in January 2015 went countrywide and so far covers parts of neighbouring countries such as Tanzania, Uganda, and South Sudan.

HCK produces and broadcasts programs every day of the week for 24 hours. So far we
produce and broadcast 50% local content and supplement with programs from our international channel (Hope Channel).

We boast of a viewership of about five million people half of which are Seventh-day Adventists. Our strongholds include Nairobi, Mombasa, Malindi, Eldoret, Nakuru, Kericho, Kisumu, Kitale, Marigat, Oljororok, Nyahururu, Nyeri, Embu, Meru, Machakos, Kitui, Mt Elgon, Migori, Kendu-Bay, Kisii, Kilgoris, Narok, and Kakamega, Garrissa, Mandera, among others; and parts of neighboring countries including Busia in Uganda, the Eastern parts of Arusha and Mwanza in Tanzania.

This is evidenced by the number of phone calls and text messages we receive from these areas for the various programs that we broadcast.
